Catholic Women's League

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada is a national organization, rooted in Gospel values, calling its members to holiness through service to the people of God. The Catholic Women’s League of Canada is a Lay Ministry and its Membership is based on a Parish unit (Council). Catholic women of 16 years of age and up can join the League by paying an annual membership. Our Parish Catholic Women’s League of Canada (CWL- Our Lady ofThe Assumption Parish) group organizes and runs various fundraising events through standing committees during the months of September to June such as the Annual Garage Sale, the Christmas Marketplace, Food Drives, and all funds that are raised are dispersed to the Church and our community to help the less fortunate. The comradeship with women of all ages at our Parish is a gift of faith, friendship and support that offers leadership development and affirmation. The CWL gives members the opportunity to serve God and Canada and through standing committees, members can feel the pulse of what is happening in our church and society.
